Stanton L. Jones is Provost and Professor of Clinical Psychology of Wheaton College, Wheaton, Illinois, since 1996. Previously he was Chairperson of the Psychology Department (1984-1996), in which capacity he led the development of the College's Clinical Psychology doctoral program which was accredited by the American Psychological Association in 1998. He has been a Postdoctoral Scholar at the Divinity School of the University of Chicago and is a Lifetime Fellow of Clare Hall, University of Cambridge. Two of his more recognized publications are his book with Mark Yarhouse entitled Homosexuality: The use of scientific research in the Church's moral debate (InterVarsity), and his 1994 American Psychologist article, "A constructive relationship for religion with the science and profession of psychology: Perhaps the boldest model yet."

Douglas Abbott, Ph.D.

Dr. Abbott received his doctorate in child development and family studies at the University of Georgia in 1983. Since that time he has been teaching and conducting research at the University of Nebraska Lincoln. His areas of interests include adolescent sexual abstinence, adolescent sexual identity formation, and cross-cultural marriage and mate selection. He has recently finished a book on "Understanding Homosexuality & Encouraging Heterosexuality."

Peet H. Botha received his PhD in New Testament studies from North-West University. The title of his thesis was: The apostle Paul and homosexuality: A socio-historical study. He had been active in the ministry and counseling since 1992. Since 1994 he had been lecturing in Philosophy of Education, Philosophy of Science, Religious Education and Bible Studies. He is currently Extraordinary Senior Lecturer with the North-West University and Registrar of Cedar College of Education. Peet has written four books The Bible and homosex; Homosexuality - Questions and Answers; The Empty testament - Four arguments against Gay Theology; The Synod and Homosex. He has lectured and spoken in various countries: Germany, Netherlands, Switzerland, France, England and USA. He is married to Andra and they have a son, Chris.

A. Dean Byrd, Ph. D., MBA, MPH is the President/CEO of Thrasher Research Fund, Faculty - University of Utah School of Medicine with appointments in the Department of Family and Preventive Medicine and the Department of Psychiatry. He is also an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Family Studies, also at the University of Utah. Dr. Byrd was Professor of the Year in the Department of Family and Preventive Medicine in both 2005 and 2007. Currently, he serves as President-Elect and Chairman of the Scientific Advisory Board for NARTH.

Alan Chambers is one of the nation's leading speakers on sexuality and gender issues and serves as President of Exodus International -- the largest evangelical organization dealing with this topic in the world today. Alan's personal story as a teen and young adult who struggled with and overcame unwanted same-sex attraction has inspired thousands. An advocate for protecting traditional marriage and family, he has spoken at public forums around the world and is a regular guest speaker for Focus on the Family's Love Won Out Conference -- an international conference addressing the roots and causes of homosexuality. Alan has been interviewed by the Los Angeles Times, The New York Times, TIME magazine, Newsweek, ABC's 20/20, Good Morning America, Nightline, and CNN and is the author of God's Grace & The Homosexual Next Door: Reaching the Heart of the Gay Men & Woman in Your World. He and his wife, Leslie, make their home in Orlando, Florida and are the proud parents of a son and daughter.

Shawn J. Evans, M.S.W., M.P.A., is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Salt Lake City. He has practiced 12 years helping men overcome unwanted sexual behaviors. He is also the founder of Summit Life Coaching, a private professional coaching practice helping those overcoming unwanted same-sex attraction and other unwanted sexual behaviors. He holds two master degrees. He received his Master of Social Work from the University of Utah and a Master of Public Administration from Brigham Young University. He also has a B.A. in psychology form the University of Utah. Mr. Evans is also a certified Approved Provider by the Utah State Board of Corrections and Juvenile Justice (NOJO'S).

Co-facilitated the Men's Open Forum with David Pruden, Executive Director of Evergreen International, at the 9th Annual Evergreen conference, Sept. 9-10, 1999 and presented at the 15th Annual Evergreen conference, Sept. 16-17, 2005. Other conferences he has presented include the Association of Mormon Counselors and Psychotherapists and the Generations conference.

Dr. Norman Goldwasser is a clinical psychologist in Miami Beach, Florida where he is Director of Horizon Psychological Services , an interdisciplinary private practice that incorporates a team approach to clinical practice. Dr. Goldwasser received his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the Medical College of Virginia/Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Va. He is especially known for his expertise in the field of Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), a treatment strategy widely regarded as the most effective modality for use in the treatment of trauma.

Janelle Hallman is a licensed professional counselor specializing with women in conflict with same sex attractions and emotional dependencies. Janelle regularly supervises and consults other therapists seeking to understand the clinical issues surrounding the lesbian condition and has also taught extensively on the issue of homosexuality, gender issues and Biblical sexuality at national and international conferences, seminars and churches. She is an adjunct professor at Denver Seminary and a former adjunct professor at Colorado Christian University. She is also the founder and director of Desert Hope Ministries, a non-profit organization providing dynamic conferences on God's design for sexuality and gender. Janelle currently resides in Arvada, Colorado with her husband and 17 year old daughter.

Dr. Harren is an Assistant Professor of Psychology in the Graduate Counseling Psychology Program of Palm Beach Atlantic University. She is also a licensed marriage and family therapist with a private practice in Palm Beach, Florida. She has presented clinical workshops both locally and nationally on integrating therapy and spirituality, how faith helps during times of crisis, and other related topics. Dr. Harren also conducts seminars for pastors and Christian leaders on the origins of homosexuality and how to minister to homosexuals. She has produced a video entitled, "Homosexuality 101: Where Does It Come From, Is Change Possible, and How Should Christians Respond?" Dr. Harren currently serves on the board of the NARTH; she is the chairperson of the Women's Issues Committee; she serves on the board of Worthy Creations, a ministry of Exodus International; she serves on the Admissions Team of Place of Hope Children's Home; and she is the past president of the Palm Beach Association for Marriage and Family Therapy.

James (Jim) Lewis has spent the last thirty-seven years studying what makes relationships work. He is author of the recent publication Six Principles for Achieving Personal Balance and is presently writing a similar workbook for couples. Jim is president of Guiding Path and vice-president of Addiction Resource Center for Healing. He has extensive background working with strugglers of same gender attraction, addiction, and obsessive disorders. Currently, he is in private practice in Sandy, Utah where he lives with his wife of forty-three years. They have four children and seven grand children. As co-founder and President of NARTH, Dr. Nicolosi continues his professional commitment to developing effective therapeutic interventions. As the founder and director of the Thomas Aquinas Psychological Clinic in Encino, California, Dr. Nicolosi has treated hundreds of men struggling with SSA. He is the author of Reparative Therapy of Male Homosexuality (1991); Healing Homosexuality (1993) and A Parent's Guide to Preventing Homosexuality (2002) and will have a book to be published next year on therapeutic approaches for treating unwanted SSA.

Mary Beth Patton lives in Portland, Oregon and works full time in private practice. She graduated from Lewis and Clark College with a Masters degree in Counseling Psychology. Her studies as an undergraduate included psychology and women's studies. Her areas of interest and specialty include women and same sex attraction and working with couples who struggle with sexual intimacy, sexual addiction and same sex attraction. She is on the board at NARTH.

James E. (Jim) Phelan holds degrees in Psychology (Psy.D) and Social Work (MSW). Jim is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), a Board Certified Diplomate in Clinical Social Work (BCD), and an Internationally Certified Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor (ICADC). He is a Psychotherapist Associate to the American Psychoanalytic Association and Mental Health Affiliate to the National Association for the Advancement of Psychoanalysis. He is also a military veteran having served in both the U.S. Army and the U.S. Air Force. He is an Addictions Therapist for the Veterans Administration and in Private Practice in Columbus, Ohio.

Christopher H. Rosik, Ph.D., is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of Oregon. He received his doctoral degree in clinical psychology and his master's degree in theological studies from Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, California. He currently works as a licensed psychologist and Director of Research at the Link Care Center in Fresno, California. He is also on the clinical faculty of Fresno Pacific University, where he teaches a research practicum in the psychology department. Dr. Rosik has published over 40 journal articles and book chapters. His professional interests include human sexuality, dissociative disorders, and the psychotherapy of clergy and missionaries."

Dawn Stefanowicz is an author, public speaker, media spokesperson, licensed professional accountant and home educator. Married to her husband of 23 years, they have two children. She has addressed the needs of children, women, and families for over 15 years.

Her book, Out From Under: The Impact of Homosexual Parenting, delivers a gripping, no holds barred account of her experiences growing up in a homosexual household from infancy.

Due to her personal experiences and sharing with others, she has developed a website www.dawnstefanowicz.com that serves as a resource and a safe, supportive network for individuals, families and friends directly impacted by sexually diverse households. Dawn is a source to family, medical, therapeutic, research, policy and legislative authorities, addressing same-sex marriage and parenting, sexuality, and education's impact on children.

She has testified in the following areas: Hartford, Connecticut; Boston, Massachusetts; Tallahassee, Florida; Washington; and Ottawa, Canada. Dawn speaks to various audiences by request and wrote the article "Same-Sex Marriage: Have the Best Interests of Children Been Considered?"

Dr. Philip M. (Phil) Sutton earned an M.S. in the Clinical Psychology and a Ph.D. in the Marriage and Family Therapy Programs at Purdue University. He is a Licensed Psychologist (LP) in Michigan, and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Licensed School Psychologist in Indiana. Dr. Sutton provides psychotherapy, counseling and psychological consulting services at private practice and in school settings in northern Indiana and southern Michigan. Since 2000, he has been a clinical member of NARTH.
