Public Schools Face Growing Demands From Gay Activists
Legal Groups Offer Strategy to Resist Demands
In a press release entitled, "Warning To Schools: Promoting
"Gay" Agenda Will Get You Sued," two pro-family legal groups
have teamed up to assist school districts in resisting the
demands of gay activism.
Calling homosexuality "the hottest social issue of our
time," these California-based law firms have teamed up to
help teach parents and school officials how to avoid having
homosexual activists promote the normalization of
homosexuality to schoolchildren.
To help schools understand their legal risks in promoting
homosexuality, they have released a 15-page document, titled
"The Legal Liability Associated with Homosexuality Education
in California Public Schools."
The authors of the booklet are the Pro-Family Law Center of
Sacramento and the United States Justice Foundation of
Escondido. The booklet is aimed at school officials,
teachers and other education professionals across
California.
"We know how much pressure 'gay' activists are bringing to
bear on school officials in this state," said attorney Scott
Lively of the Pro-Family Law Center, "but the pain of giving
in to the 'gay' agenda will be much worse than standing
firm. Both parents and students have solid legal grounds to
sue and they're getting very angry. The big losers are not
going to be the 'gay' and lesbian activists, they will be
the school officials caught in the middle - and let's not
forget the taxpayers, who will foot the bill for every
lawsuit, win or lose."
"Call it what you will -- 'diversity,' 'multi-culturalism,'
'safe-schools' -- any effort to manipulate the minds of
children to make them pro-'gay' is actionable and frankly
legally foolish," added USJF attorney Richard Ackerman. "We
want to help school officials understand that protecting
kids from homosexuality will also protect schools from
lawsuits."
