from Gay Activism in the Schools
February 28, 2006 - Parents and Friends of Ex-Gays and Gays (PFOX) has just issued an invitation for students to invite ex-gays to address their students. As part of this educational effort, PFOX has produced a number of brochures for distribution. These are available on the web site under "Downloadable PDF Brochures."
The PFOX invitation is reprinted below:
Has your college hosted an ex-gay speaker yet? Does your university present sexual orientation issues without including the ex-gay perspective? Are you tired of your school holding gay pride or diversity/tolerance events without including former homosexuals?
Ex-gay presentations are vital for others to recognize the ex-gay community and realize there is more to sexual orientation than celebrating gay events. Equal access to school facilities by ex-gays supports sexual orientation diversity and tolerance. Ask your student club or school to sponsor an ex-gay speaker today!
Parents and Friends of Ex-Gays & Gays (PFOX) can provide ex-gay speakers and informative handouts on sexual orientation. Speakers are former gay activists who now represent the ex-gay viewpoint in public forums and debates surrounding the issue of homosexuality. They are experienced in speaking on sexual orientation issues on college campuses and public settings across the country. Speakers present scientifically accurate information on the nature of homosexuality and the potential of change from homosexual to heterosexual.
Sample speaking topics include:
