Launch 'mysexcity.com' Web Site

February 17, 2006 - The Gay Men's Health Crisis (GMHC) and the AIDS Project Los Angeles (APLA) announced the launching of a joint web site on February 14. The new site, mysexcity.com is described in a press release as a "novel approach to reach young gay and bisexual men, 31% of whom are estimated to be living with HIV in the United States."

GMHC and APLA say this new web site will engage visitors in "true-to-life situations" in which they will make virtual decisions on behalf of a cast of animated characters, while "delivering information about HIV transmission, sexually-transmitted infections, substance use, coming out and relationships." The site includes explicit sex acts, chat rooms, forums, and other interactive tools.
