of Demeter and Kore/Persephone/
A seedbed of feminine experience for women of all times and places
There are no models in our present mythology representing a woman's quest. This ancient myth, which focuses on the mother/daughter relationship, allows us to understand the images now emerging from the unconscious and dreams of modern women. Any truly valid new myth cannot be rationally invented; it must be born out of a woman's own psyche, out of the crucible of her own suffering, and in the context of an ancient myth.
WHO'S INVITED: Women committed to personal growth will be helped to go inward, listen, and receive the unchanging feminine wisdom as revealed through the unconscious via dreams, active imagination and creatively expressed through art and poetry. This retreat will be held in a wooded setting-- creating space for silence, community and nature, while drawing a woman closer to connecting with her feminine soul.
Theophilus Retreats for Women is Founded and Directed by Diane Eller-Boyko LCSW.
Diane is a Jungian-oriented psychotherapist in private practice in Redlands, California, and an internationally known conference speaker with 25 years of working with women on the journey to heal the deep feminine wound. Diane helps women find the importance of completion rather than perfection; of being, rather than doing. She uses Jungian principles to create a bridge between the conscious and unconscious, helping women move toward a new feminine consciousness.
TUITION: $295 includes morning bagels, beverages, snacks, free parking, art supplies and lunch.
Lodging is not included but Monrovia or Arcadia is 5 minutes away. Space is limited to 20. Deadline for applications is July 30th, 2003.
