MONTHLY UPDATE FOR NARTH CLINICAL MEMBERS LIST
November 2006
The clinical blog is an ongoing discussion list of licensed mental health
professionals who are clinical members of NARTH. We talk about scientific,
clinical, ethic and political issues in the area of homosexuality.
The clinical blog has been active lately debating several
issues. Currently we are discussing an ethic case where a therapist was
fired for refusing to work with homosexuals. In the recent past we have
talked about the role of religion in psychotherapy, the role of NARTH in
politics, and reviewed several research studies.
I want to thank Dr. James Phelan and Al Lamoureux, LMHC for
taking on new responsibilities on the clinical blog. Dr. Phelan will keep
the clinical blog up to date on the latest research in the field of
homosexuality. He will be posting new studies on a regular basis and
summaries of all the studies at the end of the year. Mr. Lamoureux will be
heading up clinical topics on the blog.
